Billy Strings is currently performing to sold-out stadiums, despite traditional radio’s slow recognition and underrepresentation of him. 

Billy Strings, who was born William Apostol and baptised in the small town of Muir in Michigan. He is grounded in the sounds of Bluegrass and American folk music. His family environment played a large part in this. When Billy Strings was still a boy, his guitar-playing grandfather was one of many to introduce him personally to Bluegrass rhythms.
